Promotion using order time

Introduction

This post will show you how promotion works by using order time. The apps involved are BIGPOS Pro, BIGPOS Lite, and BIG Waiter.

I will differentiate between before and now new changes promotion using order time

Before

Promotion applied when customers pay within promotion time. Example: Promo time 9:00 – 10:00 Customer orders at 9:30, promotion applied in cart. Pay at 10:10, promotion not applied.

Now

Promotion applied when product added to cart. Example: Promo time 9:00 – 10:00 Customer orders at 9:30, promotion applied. Pay at 10:10, promotion still applied. 

Merge table & merge order depends on merge time

A) Merge table Single order = YES

• If merge WITHIN PROMO TIME, promotion is applied to the merged order.
• If merge OUT OF PROMO TIME, promotion is not applied to the merged order.

B) Merge table
Single order = NO

The order remains in its condition.
Table 1 order within promo time,
Table 2 order after promo time.
Merge after promo time.

• Order 1 – promotion applied.
• Order 2 – promotion not applied.

C) Merge order

• If merge WITHIN promotion time, promotion is applied to the merged order.
• If the merge is OUT OF promotion time, promotion is not applied to the merged order.

It will show an alert message when merge table:

Delete all product in cart will reset the order time

Example: Promo time 9:00 – 10:00

Add order to cart at 9:59 > Promotion applied.

Delete all products (Bin icon or delete all one by one), add new product at 10:01 > Promotion not applied.

Promotion applied to order according to the time order sent to BIGPOS Pro.

Extra notes

Promotion setting: Take percentage off 10%, Minimum 2 qty.
Table A: NG Ayam (Before promo time)
Table B: NG Kampung (Within promo time)
Merge table into a single order (Within promo time)
Was promotion applied or not?
Promotion applied. Because merge within promotion time.

Promotion setting: Take percentage off 10%, Min 2 qty, Max 3 qty.
Table A: NG Ayam, NG Pataya (Within promo time)
Table B: NG Ayam, NG Kampung (Within promo time)
Merge table into a single order (Within promo time)
Was promotion applied or not?
Promotion applied. But limit to 3 quantities only. (3 cheapest products) 

Does the merge table or merge order at the same time (both during promotion time) have an alert message or not?
Yes. Alert message prompted out.

Open the table before promo time and add the product to the cart during promo time.
Product in the cart get promoted or not?
Yes, the Promotion applied. The product was added to the cart during promo time.

Merge table, single order = No
The order remains in its condition.

Add product to cart during promo time > delete all products> Reorder after promo time.
The cart will reset its order time. Add products in the same table outside of the promo time will not apply to the promotion.

QR Menu order for queue/tag number (FPX/RM payment)?
Known issue. As for now, customers pay in full, but the receipt gets a promotion. The promotion amount is shown in the ROUNDING section.

Item Redeem Voucher on promotion product?
The cashier can manually remove the promotional product and keep the one with a voucher.
