Debit Card Surcharge for Pro and Lite

Introduction

This post will guide you on how Debit card surcharge apply to Big Pos Pro and Lite . This feature is applicable to all regions. This list of possibilities can be used in Web admin, Big Pos Pro and Lite.

The basic settings in web admin

1. This feature can be accessed from the web admin by clicking “Settings >> Company profile”.
2. Ensure to enable Debit Card Charge (Surcharge) with a surcharge rate (%).

Note:

• Enabling both credit card and debit card will increase the price of orders.
• Disabling both credit card and debit card will remain the price.

How Debit Card works in Big Pos Pro and Lite

1. On the payment page, the debit card charge will increase according to the rate (%) that has been set up in the web admin.

2. On the receipt, the Debit charge row will be added as example below:

3. On the shift report, a specific row will added for Debit Card charge and the calculation for total tendered will be include the Debit Card charge.

4. On the reports page in the web admin for Shift report, Daily Sales report, Customer report, Total sales report and Payment type report will be added debit card charge column. The illustrated below shows the example of the payment type report page for the Debit Card Charge($):-

Notes:

• If the terminal (iPay88/ Revenue Monster/ Till) is enabled, the Debit card charge will not apply to the terminal payment.
• [AUS] The Till Terminal still uses (Credit Card Charge) even when paid with a debit card.
• The guest check for non-cash displays the price without the credit card charge / debit card charge.
• The QR Menu does not include debit card charges.
