BIG KDS

  1. Product(s) in the screen appear in red color, what does that mean?

Product font will change to red color when changes was made to that product, for etc. increasing/decreasing quantity, adding note and modifying the product variation.

  1. Product(s) in the screen have a strikethrough on it, what does that mean?

Product will have a strikethrough if it is deleted or the table is deleted/cancelled entirely from the BIG POS Pro.

  1. I can’t seem to drag any order or do anything on the KDS, what is the issue?

Make sure your device is still connected to the same WiFi as the device running the connected BIG POS Pro. Reconnect the BIG KDS to BIG POS Pro if issue still remains.

  1. Can I connect multiple BIG KDS to the same BIG POS Pro?

Yes, a BIG POS Pro can be connected to multiple BIG KDS and allows different printer setup between the BIG KDS.

  1. I am using ‘Auto generate queue number‘/’Assign tag number‘, I don’t see the option to click ‘Send‘ in BIG POS Pro, how do I utilize the BIG KDS?

In either ‘Auto generate queue number‘ or ‘Assign tag number‘ business mode, an order will only be sent to the BIG KDS after payment is made via the BIG POS Pro. Since payment has to be made for an order to appear in BIG KDS, that also means product in the order cannot be changed whatsoever after it arrived in BIG KDS.

  1. I changed the table after sending the order to BIG KDS, will the changes reflect on it?

Yes, any order that is still in the ‘Preparing‘ column will follow any changes made from BIG POS Pro.

  1. BIG KDS shows that I have X ongoing orders, but I can clearly see there are more than that in the screen, why is this?

This is most likely due to separation of single product from the original order. Doing so will not increase the total number of orders as they share the same order origin.

  1. I have different peoples operating multiple BIG KDS connected to the same BIG POS Pro, why do the footage they see differently even if they are connected to the same device?

Either you have configured different printer setup for both BIG KDS so that they only show product that is enabled by the printer respectively or it is due to syncing imperfection which is caused by having multiple people trying to operate on the same order differently(etc. One person tries to drag the order to ‘Ready‘ column while the other person drag the same order to ‘Pick up/Take Away‘ column) in the exact time. Try to click on ‘Refresh’ to see the actual latest changes.

  1. Can I use IOS BIG POS Pro to connect to Android BIG KDS?

Yes, both Android and IOS versions of BIG POS Pro can connect to Android BIG KDS.

  1. I launched the BIG KDS but the IP address shows empty.

Make sure the device running BIG KDS is connected to a router/WiFi.

  1. I can’t seem to find the IP address listed by the BIG KDS from my BIG POS Pro.

Make sure both devices using BIG POS Pro and BIG KDS are connected to the same WiFi.

  1. My orders keep disappearing automatically after some time I put them in the ‘Ready‘ or ‘Pickup/Take Away‘ column. Why is that?

Remember that by default settings, orders once placed in the ‘Ready‘ or ‘Pickup/Take Away‘ column will automatically count as completed after 600 seconds, thus ‘disappear’ from the screen, but you can always go to ‘Recall‘ option to get back the order or configure the setting to make the timer larger.

  1. I have changed the BIG KDS configurations before I reconnect the BIG KDS to my BIG POS Pro, but why are all settings revert to default?

Currently, the configurations will revert back to the default configuration once it is disconnected from the BIG POS Pro.

  1. Can I still send order after adding new product(s) into a cart that has previously been sent?

Yes, but do note that any new product(s) will be counted as a new order in BIG KDS rather than being combined with the previous sent order.

  1. Will orders from QR Menu and BIG Waiter be displayed on the BIG KDS?

Yes provided that the BIG POS Pro is connected to the BIG KDS in question.
